Spartan Cards

By: Emilee Cline

Getting a Spartan card is a privilege you must earn; it gives you the opportunity to leave during your lunch shift. Some students use this time to run home, eat and/or grab things they might have forgotten in the morning. Although most students get some form of fast food. When you leave for lunch you are not allowed to bring back food or drinks for any fellow students. With a Spartan card you are also allowed free admission into all home athletic events, excluding district games.

A Spartan card is based on your last semester grades. You must earn a 2.66 GPA this means you cannot have any grades below a “C”. You also can’t miss more than one unexcused absence. If you receive ISS or OSS for any reason you will not be allowed to use your Spartan card for the rest of the remaining semester. Overall, Spartan cards are something students should strive for and are used as an incentive program to increase student attendance at school year round.
