Teacher Spotlight: Sarah Henson

      Mrs. Sarah Henson is the World History and Psychology teacher at RHS. She has also previously taught Sociology and Western Civilization to 1600 as a dual credit. She’s been teaching for 7 years, all of which have been at RHS. Mrs. Henson has been the Cadet Teaching Sponsor for 3 years. She went to high school at Parkway South High School in Manchester, Missouri. In high school, she was involved in NHS, Student Council, Orchestra, and played tennis.

     Mrs. Henson went to college at Truman State University where she got her Bachelor’s in History, and Masters in Education. In college, she worked in the International Student Affairs Office and was in Orchestra.

     Outside of school, Mrs. Henson likes to travel, hike, read, and watch movies. She’s married to her husband, Chris Henson. She said two interesting facts about herself are, “I don’t like bacon and I am 13 inches shorter than my husband.” Mrs. Henson said her favorite part of teaching at RHS are the “supportive colleagues and administrators and working with bright and funny students.”
