Senior Spotlight: Kylie Phipps

By: Lennon Puls

Kylie Phipps has lived in Richmond for all of her life. She is very active in a variety of organizations. She has been in Interact for four years, Student Council for ten years, NHS for two years, and she is also on the Choir Council. She has also been an active member of the Theatre Department and is the President of the Drama Club. She takes piano lessons and is in the school’s Noteworthy Chamber Choir, and enjoys taking pieces to competitions. She says that she loves theatre because “it involves my favorite things: singing, acting, and dancing.”

After high school, Kylie will be attending the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. She likes UCM because it is known for its education program and is still close enough to home. She plans to major in Music Education and minor in Theatre. She plans to get both her Bachelors and Masters degrees, hopes to then start her career as a high school choir teacher, and then go back to get her Doctorates degree so that she can one day move to the collegiate level. She wants to live in a city such as Liberty so that she could live somewhere that has more options, but is still close to family. Kylie certainly has a bright future ahead of her, and RHS wishes her the best.
