Senior Spotlight: Trevon Alexander

By: Lennon Puls

Trevon Alexander has lived in Richmond for all of his life. He has always been surrounded by sports, playing football and basketball for as long as he can remember. Trevon loves playing these sports in particular, saying “I love being able to go out and compete with my friends.” Trevon will be going into his second year of track this spring. He enjoys track because it keeps him in shape and helps him to become faster. Trevon is also involved at school, participating in Interact, NHS, FCA, Journalism, and Leadership. He says that his favorite part of these activities is “being able to impact the school in a way that everyone gets involved in the activities.”

After high school, Trevon plans to go to the University of Northern Iowa on a football scholarship. While there, he will spend his time playing football, as well as majoring in Journalism and Sports Broadcasting. He loves the campus, saying, “I love the university. The people are welcoming, the football team really shows a family-type atmosphere and amazing work ethic, and I cannot wait to be a part of that. The town itself is really nice as well, and really reminds me of Richmond.” After college, Trevon hopes to one day play in the NFL. He would love to live on either coast, but will live wherever football takes him. Trevon has plans for a bright future, and RHS wishes him the best in all that he does.
