Richmond Boys Basketball

The Richmond Basketball team heads into their Court-Warming matchup against Holden, coming off a great win at Higginsville, improving to 5-0 in the conference. “It was a great win and it put us where we want to be. We are leading the conference and headed in the right direction for districts. The goal is to reach 20 wins, and keep working from there,” Coach Jermain said.
The team has greatly improved since the beginning of the season, currently holding a 14-6 record. “They are always there for each other through the ups and downs, including timeouts. The communication in practice has been showing lately, now we need to be consistent in both practice and games,” Coach Jermain said.
The Spartans have a chance to reach 6-0 in the conference on February 2nd, hosting the 1-15 Holden Eagles. From the looks of it, the Spartans should take care of the Eagles, but not underestimate them. “It doesn’t matter what their record is, anyone can be beat and we need to be consistent no matter who we are facing. If you’re not ready then you create bad habits, be consistent every night or you’re done,” Coach Jermain said. Good luck to the Spartans as they host the Holden Eagles on February 2nd @6:45PM.
