 By: Rachel Kindley

Ms. Emily Morlan went to Lees Summit High School. During High School she participated in book club, Honors, and NAHS (National Art Honor Society). She attended college at Missouri State University where she got her Honors in Bachelors of Fine Arts for painting, and University of Central Missouri where she got her Masters of Arts in teaching. During college, Ms. Morlan participated in a Christian Campus Group, went to Music Concerts, Cultural Events, and Art Shows.

Ms. Morlan teaches AP Art, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, and Art 1. She’s been a teacher for 2 years, both of them at RHS and she’s been the Art Club Sponsor for 2 years too. Her hobbies outside of school are painting, drawing, craft festivals, and attending reggae shows and fine restaurants. Ms3 Morlan has 2 cats, Rambo and Nala. Something you may not know about her is that she has been hit by a car and has six screws and a metal plate in her leg. Her favorite part about teaching is that “I get to make a difference in her students’ lives.”
