Coach Jermain Earns 200th Career Win

On February 8th, Coach Kevin Jermain earned his 200th career win at Knob Noster with a 61-45 victory. Coach Jermain has been coaching for 12 years. His first coaching win goes back to 2006, when he beat North Platte in his 2nd round of the Conference Tournament. In Coach Jermain’s 12 years of coaching, he has won two conference titles and one district title.

The Boys Basketball team is closing in on their first Conference Championship since 2011 and the team is starting to notice larger amount of people at their games lately. “They see the potential that we have, we just get after it defensively and they love to watch that style of basketball. The people finally see what we’ve expected from each other since summer,” Coach Jermain said.

The loss against Trenton was very upsetting to the team, fans, and Richmond. Ever since that game, the team has been rolling on a 5-0 streak and many wonder what Jermain said to the team after that loss for them to react this way. “I told the team that it was our chance to reunite. The effort and attitude was bad and we needed to communicate and pick it up on defense on the court. Our goals will never change,” Coach Jermain said. Congratulations to Coach Jermain on earning his 200th career coaching victory!
