Senior Spotlight: Sydney Stigall

By: Lennon Puls

Sydney Stigall has lived in Richmond for all of her life. She has been very involved in both softball and track and field for all four years of her high school career. She loves the sports she plays because it allows her to stay in shape while also having fun. She says, “I’m with people who I share an activity with, so they are easy to relate to.” Sydney has also participated in NHS for two years, Student Council for four years, Interact for two years, and FCA for four years. Her favorite aspect of the organizations she has participated in is the new connections she has made, saying, “My favorite part is being able to interact with other students that I wouldn’t normally have and to share ideas with one another.”

After graduating this year, Sydney will be heading to Missouri Western State University where she plans to study forensic investigations. These things have always interested her and she says, “with the help of Criminal Minds, I am hooked with this stuff.” She loves the university because it is close to home and offers the program she’s planning to go into. After college, Sydney wants to get settled into her job, then look at traveling the country and maybe even the world. She would love to live somewhere with beaches like Florida, but says that realistically she would like to live out in the country. She says, “I would like to live out in the country where there is lots of space so I can have plenty of room to play with my dog.” Sydney has a very bright future, and RHS wishes her the best in all that she does.
