Scholar Bowl Travels to Excelsior Springs

By Lennon Puls

On Thursday, March 1, the Scholar Bowl team traveled to Excelsior Springs for their final competition of their regular season. The Varsity team struggled, with one of their starters unable to make it due to illness. The team was unable to accomplish what they wanted to that night, with a final record of 1-2 on the night. Team Captain, Garrett Gifford said, “It obviously did not turn out the way we wanted it to, but our team worked well with one another and I’m confident going into our Conference Tournament.”

Junior Varsity had a successful night, as they were able to win all three of their matches of the evening. They were able to add on to their already impressive season by working together to answer as many questions as they could. With this being the last regular season competition, the team is looking onto the Conference Tournament. The Tournament will be held at Blue River Community College on Tuesday, March 13. The team will travel Tuesday morning and will compete into the afternoon.
