Emergency and Weather Procedures

The District has several procedures to deal with various emergencies and inclement weather.

Fire - Fire Drills are conducted regularly with students and staff.

Tornado - Tornado Drills are conducted regularly with students and staff.

Intruders - Intruder Alert Drills are conducted regularly with students and staff.

Earthquake - Earthquake Drills are conducted with students and staff.

Inclement Weather and School Closing - Snow or other weather-related concerns which include dismissing early and closing schools.

If the weather is predicted to intensify during the night, the decision to close school will be made as early as possible.

If inclement weather begins after the children are already at school any decision regarding early dismissal will be made as early as possible. When district schools are closed, transportation is unavailable to any other school such as vocational schools.
