S.P.A.R.T.A. Volunteer

Volunteering at a school is one way to help the Richmond R-XVI School District ensure that all students are successful. S.P.A.R.T.A. Volunteers are positive role models for students and they support classroom teachers, counselors, and administrators.  S.P.A.R.T.A. stands for Spartan Patrons Assisting Richmond's Teens and Adolescents. The Richmond R-XVI School District requires that all volunteers complete a background check.

The program's goal is to connect young people with caring adult volunteers at school to promote success, encourage healthy behaviors and build stronger communities. As positive role models, S.P.A.R.T.A. Volunteers enhance young people's ability to succeed.

Who is eligible?
Parents, guardians, and community members are all eligible to apply as a S.P.A.R.T.A. Volunteer. Volunteers must submit and pass the required background check.

There is no charge for the application. A new application must be filled out every 5 years.
