Due to today's MRVC Cross Country meet, car rider pickups at the middle school will be in the north end parking lot. The south end parking lot will be reserved for visiting school bus parking. Thank you for your assistance in helping this event run smoothly!

A couple of reminders for tonight's Varsity Football game vs. Holden: - Tonight is Senior Night. Senior recognitions will begin at 6pm! - K-8th grade students will not be allowed in without a parent/guardian. They should stay with that parent/guardian throughout the game.

RMS students will be bringing home midterms today.

RMS Football B Game Cancellation-The RMS Football B Game against Lathrop has been cancelled. However, we will be picking up some quarters for the B team in a game against Carrollton. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!

Again, although we do not have any information that corroborates this post, we wanted to make sure you are of the situation and assure you that we take all types of threats seriously in partnership with our police and sheriff's departments.

Several metropolitan school districts were identified in a Snapchat post over the weekend as well. No specific threat towards the Richmond School District has been confirmed, but we feel it is important to have law enforcement officers on site at each of our buildings tomorrow, Wed, Sept 11 and beyond if necessary.

Spartan Families: The Richmond R-XVI School District just received a message from Courage to Report about a Snapchat post that identified Richmond, Lathrop, Lawson, Lexington, Kansas City Public schools and two other Kansas City metro school buildings that were possibly on a list to be targeted for school shootings.

The Middle School Band will not be travelling to Concordia today. The trip has been cancelled.

Dear Parents, We wanted to inform you about a medical event that occurred at Richmond Middle School today. An ambulance was present on-site to assist, but we want to assure you that no students were injured. The situation was handled promptly and safely. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

R-XVI: There will be a parent meeting on Sunday, August 11th at 5pm at the high school. Any parent/guardian of a middle school or high school student that plans on participating in athletics or MSHSAA-sponsored activities this year is encouraged to attend.

The Richmond Spartan Band fireworks fundraising tent is open for business! Open daily from 10am-10pm, June 21-July 5. Located in the high school parking lot. Thank you for supporting Richmond band students!

Middle School Parents/Guardians: Grade cards will come home with your student today. If your child purchased a yearbook and was not at school today to receive it, they can be picked up starting Tuesday, May 28th from 8-2 through June 21st. Have a great Summer and we will see you next year!

8th grade Parents/Guardians:Reminder 8th grade Celebration is Thursday, May 16th at 9:00am in the RMS gym. Family is welcome to attend.
